Our mission is to enhance the standing of Black faculty, staff, administrators and students at UCF. To this end, the BFSA will seek to:

1. Assist the University in achieving its diversity goals as it relates to increasing the number of Black faculty, staff, administrators and students.
   
   
2. Assist in the University's efforts to increase the number of tenured Black faculty and improve the promotion and retention rates of Black administrators and staff.
   
   
3. Assist the University in the resolution of disputes involving Black faculty, staff and administrators.
   
   
4. Create a more responsive and receptive atmosphere at UCF, thereby increasing the enrollment, retention and graduation of Black students.
   
   
5. Act as a liaison between the University and the Black communities of Central Florida.
